How a project actually runs

Whether you arrive with a drawing set or just an idea of the room, it's the same process

Measure and talk

We visit and measure the space properly. The measure-up itself is free. Plan for around an hour, though it can run from half that to well over it, depending on how much there is to do. For an architect-led job, we can often price from a drawing set alone, without needing to visit first.

Design and price

We start with quick, rough drawings that capture the shape of the piece, and price an estimate from those, usually inside five working days. We'll work from anything, from a RIBA Stage 1 or 2 sketch with rough room dimensions, through to a fully detailed, specified package, like the drawings behind Half Cut Market. The earlier and rougher the drawings, the rougher that first number back; the more finished the package, the firmer and faster it comes back.

Setting-out for approval

Once the estimate works for you, we move on to detailed setting-out drawings, issued before anything is machined, so what arrives is what was agreed.

Make, finish, fit

Before we can price it

What we need to get started

Private clients

Most domestic jobs don't come with drawings, and that's fine, we'll visit and measure the space ourselves. For a first rough estimate before that visit, send us the room's rough dimensions, a photo or two of the space, a mood board or some reference images, and the materials you have in mind. We'll turn that into a quick sketch and a ballpark figure.

Architects and designers

Send your drawing set and specification, along with any renders or reference images you have. We'll price from what you give us.
